VERIFICATION & DELIVERY

Generating Take Certificates for Client Delivery

How to generate cryptographic SHA-256 verification records for client mix handoffs and stem deliveries.

Sabes Pro Take Certification Interface

What is a Take Certificate?

A Take Certificate is a tamper-evident digital record generated by Sabes Pro. It creates a cryptographic SHA-256 fingerprint of a project state, including session file hashes, audio stem checksums, save timestamps, and workstation environment details.

Audio engineers and mix studios use Take Certificates to:

  • Prove Delivery State: Provide proof of exact stem content delivered to record labels or mastering houses.
  • Resolve Client Disputes: Verify whether a client altered session files after mix delivery.
  • Timestamp Copyright Claims: Maintain an immutable timestamped record of unreleased audio compositions.

Step-by-Step Certification Workflow

1. Select Your Master Take

Open the Take Reel timeline for your project and select the approved master Take node.

2. Click Generate Certificate

In the Take details panel, click Certify Take. Sabes Pro calculates SHA-256 checksums for the session document and linked audio files.

3. Review Certificate Details

The Take Certification dialog displays:

  • Root Hash: A unique 64-character SHA-256 checksum for the complete session bundle.
  • Stem Inventory: Individual checksums for all referenced WAV/AIFF audio files.
  • Timestamp: UTC timestamp generated during certification.

4. Export Certificate Package

Click Export Certificate. Sabes Pro generates a standalone PDF report and a machine-readable JSON manifest (e.g. SongTitle_Certified_Take_2026.pdf) to include alongside your stem delivery folder.

Verifying a Certificate

Recipients can verify an exported certificate package by clicking Tools → Verify Take Certificate in Sabes Pro and dropping in the PDF or JSON manifest. Sabes Pro compares current file hashes against the certified manifest to verify data integrity.
